Abstract:

Summary Fossil Tylopods from MexicoFossil Tylopoda from the pleistocaen of Mexico are determined as members of the genus Camelops and Tanupolama. Within recent Tylopoda there is a large variability, therefore descriptions and determinations of fossil species are doubtful. The new described Mexican fossil Tylopoda look similar Camelops hesternus, Camelops minidokae and Tanupolama stevensi. Before more speculations on the phylogeny of pleistocaen Tylopoda are made, it is necessary to revise the whole fossil materials.Résumé Tylopodes fossiles du pleistocaen de Mexico sont déterminés comme membre des genres Camelops et Tanupolama.
