Abstract:

Lynx has been hunted in the GDR, as elsewhere, until in many areas it has become extinct. There is debate as to whether this rarely sighted carnivore is a threat to people. The authors conclude that lynx should be tolerated and protected rather than hunted. -J.M. *Byrne
